เครื่องขัดชิ้นงานละเอียดหลังจากผ่านกระบวนการ ตัดงานละเอียด และผ่านกระบวนการหล่อเรซิ่นเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว เราจึงนำชิ้นงานมาทำการขัดให้ละเอียด จะเป็นการขัดแบบให้เงาเป็นกระจก เพราะเปิดหน้าผิวชิ้นงาน อาจจะใช้ผงขัดละเอียดในการช่วยขัดให้เงาขึ้นได้ เมื่อเราขัดชิ้นงานให้เงาแล้ว จากนั้นจะทำการนำชิ้นงานที่ขัดละเอียดนี้ ไปส่องกล้องขยายที่มีกำลังสูง 1000-2000 เท่า เพื่อตรวจสอบรอยเชื่อมซึมลึกของ ชิ้นงาน และสามารถดูรอยแตก รอยร้าว ของชิ้นงานนั้นได้ด้วย
